Small Business Advising
Liz provides small business advising services as they relate to employment and employment-based immigration issues. With an increasingly diverse workforce, employers are often overwhelmed by their responsibility to verify the United States workforce. Most employers know that they must complete an I-9 form for each employee. However, most employers do not understand the harsh penalties that result in improperly completing the I-9 form, or improperly responding to a subpoena from the United States government. Liz can help employers meet their employment verification requirements to protect them in case of an audit. Liz can also help an employer respond to an audit to avoid or reduce fines for violating the I-9 laws.
